How long did yours take to calm down?

Day 5 of a flare and still sore. Trying to set expectations, how long before yours settled?

For me a mild flare settled over one to two weeks once I stopped straining and gave it a chance. What seemed to speed it up were warm sitz baths a couple of times a day, not sitting on the toilet for long stretches, and keeping stool soft with fiber and water so I was not aggravating it. If yours is not improving after a couple of weeks, or there is a lot of blood, that is worth a doctor visit. Hang in there.
